Celebrating NAIDOC Week 2025
This year's theme, "The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy: honouring legacy”, is a powerful reminder of the enduring strength of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, the visionary leadership of First Nations communities and the rich cultural legacy carried forward by the next generation.
Acknowledging Country
As we mark an important week, we respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we operate. We pay our deepest respects to elders past and present and extend our respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today. Their knowledge, culture, and continued connection to land, waters and community remain a guiding light for all Australians.
Why NAIDOC Week Matters to EV2
As a brand deeply connected to grassroots communities, schools and sporting clubs across the country, EV2 recognises the powerful role that sport plays in building connection, inclusion and opportunity.
Sport is more than a game; it is a platform where culture can be celebrated, stories can be shared, and leadership can grow. We see that every day in our partnerships with Indigenous athletes, teams, and schools who embody this year’s theme through their determination, vision and pride.
Celebrating Culture through Design
EV2 supports the celebration of Indigenous culture by working with Indigenous artists, either from sporting club communities or by hiring professional artists, to bring meaningful drawings & paintings to life on custom-made sportswear. These designs are more than just jerseys, they are powerful visual stories that express identity to Country, and community pride.
By wearing kits designed by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, clubs and teams across Australia can honour culture, start important conversations and promote visibility for First Nations voices in sport & community.
Whether it’s a one-off NAIDOC Week jersey or a full-season design collaboration, EV2 is proud to provide a platform for these stories to be worn with pride, on and off the field.
