The 2026 USA Rugby League season comes down to one final game this weekend, with the Los Angeles Roosters and Tampa Mayhem set to meet in the USARL Mens National Championship Final. 

The championship final will be played on Saturday, 29th August 2026 at Leuzinger High School, Los Angeles, California, bringing together the leading teams from opposite side of the country.

East Meets West

The final provides a fitting conclusion to the 2026 USA RL season. 

The LA Rooters finished up on top of the USARL West Conference, securing there place in the National Championship and the opportunity to contest the title on home soil in LA. 

On the other side of the country, the Tampa Mayhem claimed the 20206 USARL East Championship, earning their trip across the Unted States to face the Roosters in the national decider. 

It sets up a genuine East versus West contest, with Tampa travelling from Florida to California for one of the biggest games on the USA Rugby League calendar.

Rugby League Continuing to Grow in the USA 

The Championship also highlights the continued development of rugby league across the United States. 

The LA Roosters have become part of a growing rugby league presence on the West Coast. The club also has links with the Sydney Roosters, who have been involved in supporting rugby league development in Los Angeles and the wider United States. 

Tampa Mayhem, meanwhile, continues to be an established part of the rugby league landscape in Florida, competing through the USARL system and earning their way through to this year's national final. 

From an EV2 perspective, it is particularly rewarding to see two teams we supply competing against each other for a national championship.
